Abstract

In this paper we have proved for two mappings that they have a unique common fixed point on a compact subset of a metric space. Where one of the mapping is non-expansive and the pair of mappings is weakly commuting. Fisher and Sessa [5] proved the same problem with a closed subset. We replaces the main results by change the closed subsets to compact subsets. Baboli and Ghaemi [1] proved the same type of theorem. We have extended the results of Baboli and Ghaemi [1]
